American Wings is Full Service Pilot Training Center creating today’s private pilots and tomorrows airline pilots. We have helped hundreds of student pilots earn their wings. American Wings is located in Flint, Michigan at the Bishop International airport. The airport is in Class C airspace. Therefore you will be gaining the same radio skills and other important skills to fly to airports like Detroit, Cleveland, and Chicago.

Our beautiful newly renovated offices features a flight planning station with instant computerized weather access. We have a brand new fleet of aircraft including Cessna Skyhawks for primary flight training. In addition, American Wings Aviation is an authorized Cessna Pilot Center.

A Cessna Pilot Center (CPC) is a specially selected flight school that represents top-quality, professional flight training. Cessna has raised the bar in flight school standards. For a flight school to qualify as a CPC, the school must meet and exceed these standards. Cessna requires that each school has a state-of-the-art training facilities with personal computer-based instruction and testing, clean, quiet study areas and classrooms, and new aircraft with strict maintenance requirements and modern components. And each CPC carries $1 million in aviation insurance to protect you throughout your training.
